Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before we start designing together.
If you’re like me, you probably have question. This page gathers answers to the things clients ask most before beginning a project. Whether you’re planning a rebrand or reimagining your home, these FAQs will help you understand how Afternoon Creative works and where to find more details about each service.
Getting Started
How do I know if Afternoon Creative is the right fit for my project?
If you value design that feels intentional, personal, and timeless, you’re in the right place. I work best with clients who are collaborative, decisive, and ready to invest in thoughtful design that supports long-term goals. I offer a complimentary Discovery Call for all projects to ensure we’re a strong fit before moving forward.
Do you work with clients outside New England?
Yes. While I’m based in Montpelier / Central Vermont, I work with clients throughout New England and across the U.S. Interior design projects are typically local or regional, while brand and web design services are fully virtual and accessible from anywhere.
What if I’m not sure which service I need?
That’s perfectly fine! Many clients begin there. During your Discovery Call, we’ll talk through your goals and I’ll recommend which service (or combination) will deliver the best results.
How It Works
What’s the first step to working together?
Everything begins with a Discovery Call. It’s a short, no-pressure conversation about your goals, scope, and priorities. From there, I’ll share a proposal and recommended timeline tailored to your needs.

Do you take only one client at a time?
For brand and web projects, yes — I work with one client at a time to ensure your project receives my full attention and moves forward efficiently. Interior design projects often unfold over a longer timeline, so I accept a limited number of those at once. This balance allows me to stay deeply involved in each project while maintaining a thoughtful, organized experience for every client.
How far in advance should I book?
Most clients reserve their project 4–6 weeks in advance. Spring and fall tend to book quickly, so reaching out early is always recommended.
Timelines & Investment
How much do projects cost?
Investment varies depending on scope and complexity. Brand and web projects begin with a $450 Brand Master Plan, while full-service interior design projects are custom-quoted after consultation. Detailed information is available on each overview page:
How do payments work?
A signed agreement and deposit are required to secure your project date. The remaining balance is typically divided into one or two additional payments, depending on scope and duration.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. Flexible installment options are available for select projects and can be discussed during your Discovery Call.
Communication & Collaboration
How will we communicate throughout the project?
Most collaboration happens through organized email threads and scheduled meetings. For design reviews or presentations, we’ll meet via Google Meet. Interior design clients also receive in-person consultations and site visits when applicable.
Do you collaborate with other professionals?
Absolutely. For interiors, I work closely with architects, builders, and trades. For brand and web projects, I can coordinate with photographers, copywriters, and developers to ensure cohesive, high-quality results.
Policies & Logistics
What happens if I need to reschedule?
I understand that timing can shift. With adequate notice, your deposit can be applied to the next available start date.
Do you accept rush projects?
On occasion, yes. When capacity allows, I can accommodate short-turnaround Design Days or condensed brand/web projects. Rush fees may apply for expedited timelines.
What's your cancellation policy?
All projects require a signed agreement and deposit to reserve your date. Deposits are non-refundable but can be credited toward a future project within six months if your start date changes.
Still have questions?
If you don’t see your question here, please reach out or book a Discovery Call so we can discuss your project in more detail.
